Former MLB star David Justice tried to move on from the repeated word war between himself and his ex-wife Halle Berry on Friday night while on the red carpet for an event.
Justice and his current wife Rebecca Villalobos appeared on the Harold and Carole Pump Foundation 25 -Year anniversary dinner in Los Angeles. He was asked about the preliminary remarks he made that Berry should be “maternal” when the two were first married.

“Here’s what I got to say – this is my wife for 25 years. Look at my wife. She can cook, she knows how to cleanse, she knows how to breed a big family,” Justice Access told Hollywood when asked if he would clean up something. “We had three beautiful children and a beautiful grandmother.
“So I have nothing else to say about no one else’s lady other than my lady … period.”
Justice remembered her relationship with Berry in an interview about the podcast “All the Smoke”. The two married in 1993 and were officially divorced in 1997. The World Series champion noticed what led to his split with the actress.
“Because I was young and I had only, frankly, been in a relationship before her, my knowledge and my understanding, my wisdom about relationship just wasn’t huge,” he said.
“So I look at my mom and I’m a guy in Midwest. So, in my opinion, I think a wife at the time should cook, clean. Then I think, ‘OK, if we have kids, is it the woman I want to have children with and build a family with?'”

In the mid -late 1990s, Berry had a contract with Revlon and had been in films like “Boomerang”, “Jungle Fever” and “The Last Boy Scout.”
“At the time, like a young guy, she doesn’t cook, cleans, doesn’t really look like maternal, and then we start to have trouble,” Justice added. “I will say this. We have never had any problems about any women, other men.”
Berry replied subtly in a post on Instagram.
“Phew …! Cooking, cleaning and motherhood,” she wrote in the caption of a photo with her current husband van Hunt.
Justice won her first All-Star Nod in 1993 after their marriage. He was again an all-star in 1994 before the players went on strike. He joined the Cleveland Indians in 1997 and was later traded to Yankees in 2000.

He also said he and Berry “probably could have done it” if they went to therapy.
