The answers to today’s threads, game #536, is …
- DETECTIVE
- FOREIGN
- LOVE
- Competing
- SPOUSE
- HEIR
- Spangram: It’s a mystery
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
Today we had all the usual suspects of a classic whodunnit? Plus, of course, the investigator who will reveal the clues and reveal the killer.
The first word I discovered today was detective, and at this point I was unsure of what we were looking for. The word strangers helped, and then I saw the long talking excitement.
It’s a mystery is also the name of a pretty cheese -like New Wave song from the early 1980s of Toyah Wilcox, whose choir is ingrained in my brain, especially the line “A shot in the dark, a big question mark”. I couldn’t stop thinking about it during today’s search – which was merciful short.
Yesterday’s new strings response (Thursday 21 August, Game #536)
- Hulk
- Wolverine
- STORM
- Daredevil
- THING
- Rogue
- Spanggram: Superheroes
