Lil NAS X revealed that the “last few years” were difficult for him months prior to his shocking arrest in Los Angeles.
The Old Town Road Hitmaker, 26, was taken into custody almost naked after early morning calls on Thursday reported erratic behavior in the 1100 block Ventura Blvd in Los Angeles.
Lil Nas X, who roamed “naked on the street”, then allegedly clash with an officer and was booked on a fee for battery on a police officer after he was first admitted to the hospital, LAPD told LAPD People Magazine.
The arrest comes only months after Lil NAS X opened about his mental health and career challenges in an honest video shared online.
“The last few years were pretty difficult for me,” he admitted in February. “They’ve been pretty difficult for me.”
He explained that although he had been “flassing” and “everywhere,” he began to regain focus: “I am right now, like, arrived at this place with feeling confidence in myself and what I am doing. And I try to make sure I intention to my music and my vision and the creativity of it all.”
In March, he also revealed that he had deliberately gone back from the limelight.
“I just jumped into adulthood with extreme fame around me,” he said People Magazine. “So it was really nice to be just outside to go and meet people on the streets and eat at restaurants, just even alone, spend a lot of time in solitude alone.”
The rapper has not yet publicly commented on the arrest.
