I didn’t really think about it before this edition of Strands, but it’s interesting how many of the things we rub on our faces sound like food – cream, butter, jelly, milk. Or maybe it should be that it is incredible how many foods sound like things we rub on our faces?
Either way, I take off today was a search for the many different formats of moisturizer – a spikengram I got after originally discovering the word “moist” and realizing that there was more to it.
I got lotion first, and from there went around the board in a direction against the clock without a fight or hanging, as opposed to when I rubbing the conditioner in my beard; It’s a whole lot of fighting and hanging.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s non-new-new-more word games after Wordle and connections. It is now a fully expanded member of Nyt’s Games Stable, which has been running for a year and can be played on the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
