Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar traveled to a two-day official visit to Bangladesh on invitation from the Bangladeshi Government.
The trip, which was described as long overdue, had previously been postponed twice-once in May after increased Pakistan-India tensions after the Pahaldam attack.
“At the Invitation from the Government of the People’s Republic Bangladesh, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar will visit an official visit to Bangladesh on August 23-24, 2025,” the Foreign Office said in a statement.
During his stay in Dhaka, DAR is scheduled to meet Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus and adviser to foreign affairs Touhid Hossain. “The full range of bilateral relations and several regional and international issues will be discussed during these meetings,” the statement added.
