Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Tuesday confirmed Pakistan’s obligation to elaborate on the tape with North African nations, including Algeria and Egypt, through improved connection and expanded cooperation across different areas.
Deputy Prime Minister made the comments during a “meaningful interaction” with his Egyptian colleague Badr Abdelatty and Algerian FM Ahmed Attaf on the sidelines of the 21st extraordinary session from the Council of Foreign Minister for the organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
At the meeting, they discussed the serious situation in Palestine and emphasized the urgent need for humanitarian access, a ceasefire and lasting peace. FMS emphasized the meaning of unity within the Muslim Ummah in these challenging times.
Dar landed in Jeddah on a two-day official visit yesterday, talking about Israel’s ongoing Gaza attack during the 21st extraordinary session in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council for Foreign Ministers.
DPM Dar repeated Monday Pakistan’s strong condemnation of Israel’s highly escalating and dangerous statements across the Palestinian country.
He said that the courageous brave of the so -called Israeli cabinet by revealing his ominous plan to expand Israel’s full military control over Gaza as well as the Israeli Prime Minister’s recent allusion to the establishment of a “larger Israel” gave an insight into Israel’s annexationist and unerhauted mindset.
In his statement on the 21st extraordinary session in the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) in Jeddah, DPM Dar Pakistan’s call for an immediate and effective ceasefire in Gaza repeated.
He ensured the flow of humanitarian assistance, an end of forced displacement, illegal settlement expansion and annexation of Palestinian soil, accountability for war crimes and crimes against humanity and the implementation of international and humanitarian laws.
He said the meeting was held again when Gaza was bleeding, under systematic, overlooked and conscious violations of international law, including international humanitarian law, the UN Security Council’s decisions and ICJ’s judgment.
And all this was committed with the impunity of Israel, he noted.
“Gaza has become a cemetery for innocent life as well as for international law, especially international humanitarian law (IHL). Over 60,000 Palestinians – most of them women and children – have been killed in Israeli’s brutal military assault,” he added.
He said that the systematic targeting of hospitals, schools, un -facilities, AID Convoons and Refugee Camps was not coincidental; These were deficient actions with collective punishment in the full view of the world.
“Gaza endures a full -scale humanitarian disaster. For almost two years it has slightly arbitrary bombing, total blockade and conscious deprivation and hunger, while violence and removal escalates in the West Bank and Jerusalem,” he added.
Dar also said that the so -called humanitarian system introduced by the occupying power was a cruel illusion and added: “Famine is violent. Civilians are being shot while trying to gather food.
