We all expected an Apple event in September, and the Cupertino-based technology giant has just made it officially by sending invitations to a special event on September 9, with tagline, “Awe drop”.
There is definitely a lot we expect and the special event starts at the right standard time of Apple events. It starts at. 10.00 PT / 13:00 ET / 18:00 BST on September 9, 2025 (03:00 September 10) at Apple Park, but have no fear if you didn’t score an invitation. The event itself will be livestreamed and Techradar will be on the ground to break down all the big messages when they happen.
To judge by the rumors and what Apple has shown in earlier September — Servant events, we expect iPhone 17 Lineup-Inclusive the brand new, super-thin iPhone 17 Air-New Apple Watches and AirPods, as well as a huge amount of software.
You may remember that Apple showed off its new floating glass interface and ethos for its iOS, Ispados, Macos Tahoe, Watchos, Tvos and Visionos Platforms, and all of these, or at least a majority, should get release dates as Apple has promised a “fall” launch (it’s a September to November).
Below we break down what the invitation tells us, and a little more about what we can expect at the event 9 September ‘Awe Dropping’.
What does’ awe ‘invitation’ tell us?
Now that Apple’s 9th September event is official, all eyes are on the invitation itself. The ‘awe’ tag on the Apple logo is an interesting one, apparently to make it a thermal imaging-like, heat-sensitive view. There is a strong shade of a pulsating orange, a dark blue, as well as an aqua blue, green and even something yellow here.
Could this suggest a new cooling system for the rumored iPhone 17S, or maybe a thermal camera that joins the setup? The former seems most likely. It can also point to colors to the new iPhones, which make sense, considering some rumors suggest a shade of orange for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

What can we expect at the event?
The probable star in ‘Awe which falls’ will be iPhone 17 lineup. We expect four models again but this time iPhone 17 Air can replace the plus next to iPhone 17, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max.
With the iPhone 17, Air Apple will be looking to narrow the gap with Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge. The 17 air is expected to be super-thin-place about 5.5 millimeters with a powerful chip inside.
It will be interesting to see if the Standard iPhone 17 gets the same chip as the pros – probably the A18 – or if it stands alone. A redesigned single-lens camera is jerked and Apple will have to address the life of the battery, especially if the 17 air replaces the long-lasting plus model.
For iPhone 17, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max, we expect benefits from new Apple-made silicon inside, and there may be some changes in how camera control works, according to the recent rumors. Another new report suggests that the Volume -Rocker and Action button can be combined into a
If you now have the best cameras that Apple has to offer, the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max is still expected to offer three lenses, but in a new design. We are all used to a square camera, but according to reports, Apple may raise the bar in the same way we’ve seen with the Google Pixel family. You still find a wide, ultra -and -telecommunications objects here, but the latter is expected to get a serious upgrade.
The iPhone 17 will probably look pretty similar to the iPhone 16, though I hope Apple stabs with some lively colors here. As I noticed in the iPhone 16 review, an upgrade to 120Hz screens for Entry-Level iPhone would be a much-valued addition, and that’s always an option, rumored for rumors that the iPhone 17 lineup could start this everywhere. It also reports that the Selfie camera on each new iPhone will kick things in a high gear of 24 megapixels.
All the new iPhones are expected to run iOS 26 out of the box with the new look and many new features, such as big upgrades to messages, and Apple will definitely tell some new Apple Intelligence features here.
What can we expect from a Apple Watch Series 11? Well, it should stick to a similar building and look at the series 10. Under the hood, the processor still needs to be upgraded for faster performance on the device and hopefully more efficient driving for the life of the battery. Series 11 should be able to trace blood oxygen out of the box across the globe and even in the US as Apple has reintroduced this feature in series 9, Series 10 and Ultra 2.
It will still take reading with sensors on your wrist, but you see the results on your iPhone – a smart solution. This health tracking ability must be here with the heartbeat, ECG, a skin temperature sensor and sleep tracking, although recent reports also notice that blood pressure monitoring can also be introduced this year. You also get a trainingmate when you track training as part of Watchos 26 and a new gesture.
As for Apple Watch Ultra 3We expect it to keep a similar look available in two colors – silver or black – and mostly the same size. Although we have seen with other Apple Watches, the design team could slim frame to offer an even larger display that becomes significantly brighter. After all, it’s designed as an adventure, Ultra-Robust Apple Watch. It also gets several new features as part of Watchos 26, and if new health functions are on the horizon, it is likely that Ultra will have function parity with the series 11.
Given that it is two years since AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C, and that Apple rolled new features for these buds along with AirPods 4 and AirPods Max with USB-C in 2024, there is a good chance that we will see AirPods Pro 3 By the September event.
These are likely to offer some upgrades over the current design, but a reinvention is probably not necessary, given the popularity of the current look. Still, the charging case here could be slimmed down a little, and it may adopt a similar LED and button structure such as AirPods 4, which would mean a switch to a capacitive button rather than a physical one.
Powerbeats Pro 2 already has the ears heart rate tracking, so there is an excellent chance that these will arrive at the new AirPods Pro along with a benefit increase from a new processor. You may not need the heart rate tracking functionality here if you have an Apple Watch.
There is also the rumored Live Translation feature that would take them like Samsung’s Galaxy Buds and Google’s Pixel Bud 2 Pro. However, do not expect AirPods Pro with cameras this year.
Apple can only fit so much into only one event, but rumors point out that the rest of 2025 will be marmaladed to the tech giant. We can also expect new iPads inclusive an 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro with M5-Chip and new Mac Desktops and MacBooks with M5 as well as upgrades to HomePod Mini and Apple TV 4K.
As for when they arrive, Apple may be saving them for October or November. It is also an upgraded Apple Vision Pro with a faster processor over M2, but it probably doesn’t bring the price down.
As with all Apple rumors, it’s important to remember that nothing is officially officially official until it is announced by the tech giant. So you will stick to Techradar on September 9 to follow our live reporting on Apple’s special event.
