Police on Tuesday arrested a man on charges of rape and strangled to death his brother’s wife within the limits of Malir Cantt police station.
According to Malir Cantt police, the suspect, Ishaq, admitted during the first interrogation of assault and killing of 30-year-old Sadia, daughter of Hidayatullah. The victim’s body was discovered in a house in Haji Zakaria Goth with a noise around her throat. A case has been recorded at the Malir Cantt police station about the complaint of the deceased’s brother, Muhammad Hidayatullah, who also nominated Sadia’s mother-in-law Allah Rakhi, her sister-in-law Kausar, Rashid, and her younger brother Adil as a suspect.
Hidayat said his sister, Sadia, had come to his home with her five children and mother -in -law to attend a family feature on August 24th.
After returning to her husband’s house, he received a call that she had committed suicide. Hidayat said, when he came to Sadia’s house, he found her body on the bed with suffocation marks on her throat and wounds on her nose and forehead. He claimed that her in -laws were preparing her grave for burial before police intervention. Hidayat raised a tint and shouting and called police auxiliary line 15. The body was moved to Jinnah Hospital for PostMortem, where it was confirmed that the victim was brutally assaulted and then strangled. Sadia had not committed suicide, she was murdered.
