Meghan Markle Horse for having explained his legal name

Meghan Markle clarified his legal name and royal naming protocols during a recent interview that addressed widespread confusion over how British royal titles work.

In a speech with journalist Emily Chang about “The Circuit”, the Duchess of Sussex explained that her legal name is “Meghan, Duchess of Sussex”, while Sussex acts as the family’s last name she shares with her children.

“When I got married, I changed my name, but it’s complicated for people to understand because our last name is not typical of this construction,” Markle said during the interview.

The Duchess acknowledged that her American background originally contributed to confusion about the British royal conventions.

“What I learned about myself is no matter what my name is or what people call me, I’m still the same person,” she added.

Her interview triggered debate on social media in which some users asked different aspects of royal naming protocols, while others mock Prince Harry’s wife.

“It’s sweet that Meghan and her friend here both use” Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, “who is the real formula for a divorced wife. They both missed (the) in there.” Said an X user jokingly.

Another said, “King Charles and Parliament can clean up this confusion any moment, if not I’m sure Prince William will gladly do so. I think Crown, Inc should clean up this woman.”

A user said, “It’s a duchy, not a duchy. And her legal name is, according to letter-patent Mountbatten-Windsor.”
