Kid Cudi opens for dark past with weeds

Kid Cudi is getting honest about his sobering journey

Kid Cudi wastes how his relationship with marijuana has changed after a past with heavy addiction.

In a recent chat with People, The rapper opened for his recovery for rehabilitation back in November 2024, which he also shared in his book Cudi: The memoir.

“I was just in this place where I abused it,” Cudi said. “I really abused it. I smoke maybe 15 blunts a day, woke up in the morning, got loud. It really steered my life.”

Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, revealed that he even got sober for two months before restarting taking it with moderation.

“And now I just come after that at night or on the weekends when I have free time and I just relax, but I don’t smoke anywhere near as much weed as I smoke before,” he detailed.

“A common lasts me all day, cursed near. So my relationship has changed with it in a bigger way. And I’m just more interested in being EDRU much more and being more present.”

Cudi added that Cutting back has improved his spectacle. “Because in this movie I cried a handful of times and it was easy to get there because I was sober,” he said. “There’s no way I could have done this if I was tall like s ***.”
