Peshawar:
Senior Jamat Disadvanta-e-Islam-Fazl (Jui-F) Leader and Malakand District Emir, Mufti Kifayatullah, died Thursday. He underwent treatment at a hospital in Islamabad after maintaining injuries in a shooting event in his residence in Batkhela.
According to police and party sources, Kifayatullah was critically wounded a few days ago when his son allegedly opened fire inside the family’s home. He was originally switched to a hospital in Peshawar and later transferred to Islamabad for treatment where he took his last breath.
Jui-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman expressed grief over the death of the senior party leader and called his death a great loss to the party.
In a statement, he said, “Mufti Kifayatullah’s services to the party and his commitment to religion and politics will always be remembered. May Allah give him the highest place in Jannah and give patience to the deprived family.”
Earlier this week, the tragic incident claimed the life of Kifayatullah’s son and daughter, while his wife was also severely wounded.
