Emma Willis calls critics of man Bruce Willis

Emma Willis addresses hatred of how she takes care of Bruce Willis

Emma Willis opened just to the criticism she received after moving her husband, Bruce Willis, into a separate home.

The 47-year-old has taken care of the 70-year-old since he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, and she recently revealed that she had made the difficult decision to move him into a one-story house with a full-time care team to protect their daughters, Mabel, 13 and Evelyn, 11.

In a video, Emma mentioned to her Instagram, “I think they did a beautiful job of strengthening FTD attention, as well as shining a spotlight on carers. What I knew is that by sharing some of our intimate information that we would see these two camps. It would be people with a meaning versus people with an actual experience.”

“[I anticipated that] People with an opinion [are quick to judge] Nursing staff. That’s what carers are against. Judgment from others and criticism from others, ”she added.

Emma continued, “Nothing changes an opinion as powerful as when you have an experience. Even if someone is closely familiar with dementia or the condition you care, they are not in your home so they do not know how your person behaves or your family dynamics.”

“The truth is that the statements are so high and they are so noisy. But if they do not have the experience of this, they do not get anything to say, and they certainly do not get a vote,” she concluded in the video.

Emma Willi’s caption: “Too often, careers are quickly and unfairly assessed by those who have not lived this journey or stood on the front lines of it.”

“Sharing openly can invite opinions, but more importantly, it creates connection and validation for those who actually navigate the realities of care every day,” she added before concluding, “that’s the one I share, and then I can build a deeper connection with a society that understands this journey.”
