Skyeseur Sanders expressing confidence in Colorado

Former Colorado Buffaloes Quarterback Shedeur Sanders shared his confidence in his former collegial team despite having suffered their first loss of the season against Georgia Tech.

The Buffalos lost against the yellow jackets, 27-20, when Haynes King put together the game-winning drive in the fourth quarter. King scored on a 45-yard race with 1:07 back in the fourth quarter. Colorado could not put together the equalizing touchdown in the last moments.

It was the team’s first match without Sanders and Heisman Trophy -winner Travis Hunter. Both players entered the NFL draft after last season.

Sanders was still convinced that the team will find out, especially as his father, Deion, is the head coach.

“They find out things. They have a good head coach,” he wrote at X.

Deion Sanders has not been without his quarterbacking son for any of his collegial coaching career. They were together in Jackson State and in Colorado when he took Buffaloes’ job.

“Coach Prime” named Kaidon Salter Start Quarterback to start the year. He had 159 passing yards and a touchdown pass to Dekalon Taylor in the loss.

Sanders said the team will be fine despite the loss.

“We could have won the game. It’s not like we got our shutters kicked,” he said. “They ran the heck out of the ball. If we take advantage of the possibilities, I have a completely different atmosphere up here right now.”
