Taylor Swift announced his commitment to the NFL Star Travis Kelce on August 26 through an Instagram post with several photos of the couple.
But the caption that accompanied the position left some fans confused if she had revealed a wedding as well.
POP SUPERSTAR’s post included the message: “Your English teacher and your gymnastics teacher marry,” causes widespread speculation on social media about wedding plans and potential guest lists.
However, sources close to the couple clarified that Swift had only announced one commitment, not an immediate wedding.
“Taylor and Travis have been in partying ever since the engagement,” a source close to the Kelce family told People.
“They’re not in the wedding planning phase yet. Right now they just want to enjoy getting engaged and they’ll take their time with it.”
The source added: “It has been a relief not to have to keep it secret anymore, and they are glad it is out in the open. Both families are overlooking. There were cheers, happy tears, and everyone is excited about them.”
The clarification led some fans to mistakenly thought that Swift had interrupted a wedding, though no wedding had been announced.
The confusion came from interpreting her figurative Instagram -image text literally rather than understanding it as an engagement message.
