Alabama Crimson Tide was shocked on Saturday afternoon when the No. 8-ranked team fell to Unranked Florida State, 31-17, to kick from 2025 college football season.
The massive disturbance was an important story in college football, especially considering the fear factor that Crimson Tide has had over the sport for years.
But Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel said that general fear of Alabama is no more for the other programs they face on the schedule.

“In the past, you go towards an Alabama team, you probably got some fear,” said Manziel, who knows everything about Alabama, who has played his college in Texas A&M, on the “Nightcap Show” with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson. “This is’ Bama. The team has been a dynasty, you got a little fear. The fear aspect of what alabama is – completely gone. Is no afraid of them boys. Not watery (waterbilt), not kentucky, no none. No one goes into seeing Alabama on the schedule and having any kind of shaking, any kind of fear, nothing.
“They’ve wiped out the last few years. You say buyout is deep but won’t sit here and leave this with certainty. They find it in the woods somewhere.”
Manziel is not the only one who calls Crimson Tide.

Espns Stephen A. Smith sent a warning to ‘Bama fans after the loss to Seminoles and said the Nick Saban days are long away.
“I’m sorry for people. I’m really. But it seems to be as if the days of @alabamAftbl – nick sabans @alabamaftbl – is loooonnngg gone. Sacks surrendered. Falling pass. Doubt about it.”

Seminoles Quarterback Thomas Castellanos ran in 78 yards with a touchdown and threw in 152 passing yards in the victory over Crimson Tide, ending their impressive 23-game season opener winter.
Saban is the legendary head coach who won six national championships with Alabama, including them in 2015, 2017 and 2020. But he retired in 2024, with Crimson Tide turned to the calene Deboer to fill some skilled shoes in Tuscaloosa.
But Deboer’s debut season was a failure of the eye of Crimson Tide Faithful, after missing College Football Playoff. In 2023, Sabans last year, Crimson lost time to Michigan Wolverines in Rose Bowl, where he missed a shot at competing in the national title game again.

With this loss to Seminoles, Alabama’s schedule will only be harder to move forward in 2025. They will face Georgia next month, while also seeing other power centers such as Tennessee, LSU, South Carolina and Oklahoma for consecutive weeks.
