The district administration reviewed emergency and emergency relief activities in the wake of heavy rain and rising water levels in Sakhi Sarwar and Muzaffargarh on Sunday.
Accompanied by Zonal Administrator Auqaf Nasir Mahmood, Assistant Commissioner Kot Chutta Shakib Sarwar and other officials, carried out emergency and relief in the wake of heavy rain and rising water levels, DG Khan Commissioner Ashfaq Ahmad Chaudhry carried out a detailed inspection of flooded areas and emergency areas.
The administration assessed relief efforts, security schemes and registered rainfall and flood data.
According to officials, unusually rapid water flow triggered flash flooding in parts of Sakhi Sarwar, but timely intervention from the district administration prevented loss and loss of property.
Commissioner Chaudhry said Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Usman Khalid, DPO Tariq Province and Rescue 1122 Hold reached the affected places immediately, ensuring safe evacuation of the residents.
“All rescue and relief agencies are in high attention. The protection of people’s lives and property has been secured through timely measures,” the Commissioner said.
Later he visited Muzaffargarh, where he inspected a flooding camp created at Campri Hensive School.
