A young psychologist was shot and injured during a robbery attempt near Hill Park at Shaheed-E-Millat Road on Tuesday morning, police say.
The victim, Syed Shaheer Javed, 27, was captured by armed attacks on Service Road next to Bagh-O-Bahar Marriage Hall. Police said the suspects opened fire as the victim opposed and injured him before fleding from the stage with his newly acquired motorcycle.
Shaheer is the son of Javed Saba, a noted poet and Senior Scriptwriter for Express News Program – Shabbir to Dekhe Ga.
According to investigators, the victim had a resident in the defense phase VI, just dropped his nephew at a school located within Baloch Colony Police Limits and was on his way to a private hospital on Stadium Road, where he is employed as a psychologist. Family sources said he had only bought the new motorcycle three days ago.

He was initially led to a nearby medical facility for emergency care and later switched to a private hospital on Stadium Road. Doctors said his condition was stable and that he is out of danger.
Upon receipt of information, Sho Ferozabad Tariq Mehmood reached the scene with a police that was conditional and called the criminal scene for the collection of evidence. A used ball house found at the incident has been sent for forensic examination.
According to SHO, the suspects – visible to be three to four and riding on two motorcycles – were reduced against Manzoor Colony after the attack. CCTV recordings from the surrounding area are reviewed as part of the investigation.
Police strive to identify and arrest the guilty.
