- Nvidia’s GeForce Now Ultimate Plan gets its big upgrade on September 10
- It will be powered by Blackwell RTX 5080 GPU, rather than RTX 4080
- This allows for up to 5K resolution or 360fps games
Nvidia’s big upgrade to its top-tier GeForce Now Plan arrives next week-the 10th September to be accurate.
This means that the ultimate subscription level for the game’s streaming service will be powered by a current GEN RTX 5080 GPU, upgraded from RTX 4080, which is currently the engine behind this plan.
The move (picked up by The Verge) was previously announced by NVIDIA on Gamescom, and the good news is that pricing does not change and obviously you get much better performance for your games or actual graphics of higher quality.
You can choose to run the ultimate 5K resolution package with 60 FPS, or you can plump in 1440p resolution at 240 FPS or 1080p at a blower 360fps.
With games that support DLSS4 Multi Frame Generation, you can also turn on full beam tracking for some extra visual stans.
As noted, you can sign up for the ultimate level with RTX 5080 at the same price as before, which is $ 20 / £ 20 / AU $ 27.50 per day. Month. Those who are already registered are automatically upgraded to get the benefit of the RTX 5080’s extra grunt from September 10, as you could expect.
Nvidia also highlighted a few high-profile games that have just arrived at GeForce Nu- Hollow Knight: Silksong (via steam – which has caused quite the clamp), Hell is usand Cronos: The New Dawn (both on steam too).
Borderlands 4 and Dying Light: The Beast also arrives at the service later in September.
More games can also be played thanks to the install-to-play feature, another upgrade that comes to GeForce now. This allows gamers to install titles that have signed up for Nvidia but have not yet been fully implemented on the service, and it expands the available library with games to over 4,500, Nvidia informs us.
Analysis: Rolling out now
Previously, the RTX 4080 takes on the ultimate subscription that was uncovered with 4K resolution and 240 FPS to increase to 5K and 360fps as the ceiling of GeForce now players. (Remember that to hit 360FPS you need a display that supports 360Hz).
We will have to see this new roof on the top streaming experience in action before jumping to any conclusions, but it all sounds promising-and it is great to see no price increase from Team Green.
Note, however, that Nvidia says Rollout Of the RTX 5080 in GeForce now starts from next week, so it will undoubtedly mean that it will take a while to reach some regions.
