Kansas City Chiefs Star Travis Kelce found the perfect moment to get his teammate Patrick Mahomes back for something he said before their season started in Brazil Friday night.
Mahomes and Kelce met with media members in São Paulo, Brazil on Thursday, one day before turning to Los Angeles chargers to begin their 2025 campaign, and it was business as usual in pressing with Mahomes who answered a question about the team’s preparation that drove to South America to play.
“We’ve had a plan for this all summer, and now we’re just ready to play football again,” Mahomes replied to his question.

Then Kelce was asked about all the Chiefs fandom seen in the São Paulo streets, and his answer everyone had in the room together. He mimicked Mahomes’ raspy voice.
“Oh man, it was crazy. It was a lot of fun to see all fans there,” said Kelce as the crowd laughed.

“Chill out!” Said Mahomes and laughed.
Kelce quickly returned to his own voice, explaining why he decided to take a little jab on his teammate and best friend.

“He had the one who came to tell everyone that I didn’t know where Brazil was on the card,” Kelce said. “It’s an exciting time. You get hanging around the guys and the team. This is something we all want to remember.”
The NFL season is a real grinding that these two bosses know a lot about. Therefore, it is always good to be in a high mood, and sometimes it means to snap a joke here and there.
However, Kansas City is looking to start on the right foot in Brazil and head towards a tough AFC West rival in The Chargers, led by second-year head coach Jim Harbaugh.
The last time the bosses were on a football field was against the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans for the Super Bowl Lix, and it did not end how they would feel. They lacked the NFL story as the first team to ever win three straight Super Bowls, but the confidence around Kansas City has not wobbled despite the result.

So while teammates break jokes on each other, Kelce and Mahomes know that work will be done on Friday night to secure a 1-0 start to the season against a formidable opponent.
