In the past year or so, robotic quacuum marks have been strangely busy adding mechanical arms to their bots. So far, we have only seen one example to actually market – Roborock Saros Z70, which I found so cool, but was actually not so useful in practice (it has not made it my list of best robotic vacuum recommendation).
However, I have just seen Dreames take the idea of IFA 2025, and it adds some new functionality that can change the meaning of arm -equipment robot quacuum.
Like Roborock’s model, the Dream Cyber10 Ultra’s arm has a pincer to clear away mess. Where it differs is that Cyber10 can also choose from a number of detailed tools that are attached to the end of the arm and allows it to perform other cleaning tasks.
Currently, there is a brush for cleaning in the corners of rooms and a dust for dusting baseboards. I saw the former in action and it didn’t quite jump me away, but I think the concept has plenty of potential.
First, Bot approached the quay – which has hutches that contain the extra tools – and very slowly chose the correct tool for what it would do. It then anchored the tool at the end of his arm before heading across the corner of the demo area to make some dust.
There is apparently a suction channel inside the arm, so bot is actually vacuuming (presumably quite gently) at the end of his arm. The cleaning process seemed very dull, and the tool did not look very safe on the end of the arm, but imagine the effort -saving potential if the design was developed and improved.
I do not have a release date or pricing of details, but there is sufficient information available to make me believe that this bot may be on its way to the market within long.
