Karachi: Mayor Murtaza Wahab announced on Friday that Nadra counters would be created across all trade union councils to improve public access to registration services.

When he spoke at the inauguration of the renovated Nadra Registration Center in the Landhis Babar market, Wahab said a feasibility plan would also be prepared immediately for the construction of an Nadra Center at Lyari’s Kakri earth.

He added that mega centers were under development in Gullhan-e-Iqbal, Gulberg and Surjani town.

Landhi Center, inaugurated by Wahab together with Nadra Sindh -Head of General Amir Ali Khan, has been transformed into a modern facility with upgraded services.

The number of counters with a window has been increased from four to seven to speed up applications, sitting capacity has been expanded to 120, and separate laundry room for men and women has been built. The facilities also include access to wheelchair access for disabled applicants and safe drinking water.

DG Nadra Sindh Amir said the renovation of five centers in Karachi had already ended as part of the upgrade of 21 centers across the city.

He acknowledged initial difficulties that citizens face with the new Nadra MobilApp, but emphasized that it would provide reliable long-term services once they were fully operational.
