Dallas Cowboys started 2025 season 0-1 after falling to Philadelphia Eagles, and every football fan would hear the owner Jerry Jones’ thoughts about his defense without Micah Parsons for the first time.
While Parsons is preparing for his new role as Green Bay Packers Edge Rusher after the shocking trade from Cowboys, Dalla gave up 24 points in his loss to Eagles on Thursday night.
Jones spoke with media members after the game at Lincoln Financial Field, and he was asked if he thinks the team was missing out on Parsons. Jones was not so direct with his answer.

“Well, anytime you have a good player and don’t have him out there on the field,” Jones replied. “But I specifically saw some of the guys who could pick up the slack. No. 54 had some really significant influence on their offense.
“All in all, this group adjusted and made the adjustments. We stepped up in the second half of the defense.”

Jones referred to Sam Williams, who ended the game with five tackles and made great plays in the second half by chasing Eagles Quarterback Jalen Hurts, who seemed to have his way to run in the first half.
Hurts ran for two touchdowns in the first half, and Cowboys were down 21-20 after 2024 offensive player of the year saquon Barkley scored his first touchdown of the season late in the second quarter. But Cowboys ‘defense voted Eagles’ violation in the second half and held them to only three points.

However, Jones saw when Quarterback Dak Prescott tried to push the ball down the adfield to get the cowboys’ lead back, but Ceedee Lamb, usually secured, had some drop problems in the fourth quarter that injured the team badly in the end.
However, cowboys were able to get hurt on the ground after a sack. Marshawn Kneeland made it happen in the second half. Kenny Clark, the All-Pro Tackle, which was part of the Parssons trade, was also present in this spectacle.
Clark finished the game with two solo tackles and three combined in his cowboys debut.
