Rare ‘blood moon’ eclipse to dazzling Pakistan Sunday

Sky-Watchers in Pakistan are ready for a remarkable heavenly view this weekend as a rare lunar eclipse, often called “blood moon”, will be visible across the country between September 7 and 8, if weather permits.

According to PMD, the moon’s brightness will begin to fade at 1 p.m. 20.28 on September 7, with the partial eclipse that starts at 1 p.m. 21.27, and the total eclipse that begins at 1 p.m. 22.31.

The event will peak at. 23:12 before the total phase ends at. 23:53. The partial eclipse ends at 1 p.m. 12:57 AM on September 8, while the entire event will end at 1 p.m. 1:55, said PMD in a statement.
