EXCLUSIVE: Two high school girls’ volleyball players in California refuse to join their team as long as it shows a biologically male trans athlete.

Alyssa McPherson and Hadeel Hazameh of the Jurupa Valley High School in Riverside County, California, told Pakinomist digital that they will not play or use the dressing room along with the Trans athlete. Both players sat out of the team’s Thursday evening match against Greely High School.

“Deciding to sit outside was a difficult decision to make because I love this sport and I love to compete, but this current situation with a biological man on the team is very unsafe and unreasonable not only for me, but all female athletes,” McPherson said.

Hazameh said she hopes her decision not to play will “encourage” others.

“While it was a very difficult decision for me to sit out because of how much I love this sport, I do not feel comfortable sharing the dressing room or the court with a biological man because I chose to play on a girls volleyball team, and it is just unreasonable and uncertain to anyone affected by this situation. I was afraid to stand up before,” So I hope my actions encourage others to use their voice, “well,” Hazam said.

At least four confirmed conflicting teams have lost games to the Jurupa Valley this season. Thursday’s game against Chaffey was added to the Jurupa Valley’s schedule in response to the recent lost.

The school has been under national control, which goes back to last spring’s course and field season when the same trans -athlete, AB Hernandez, drove to girls’ state championships in high -mood and triple jumps. President Donald Trump enlarged attention as he sent a warning to California in the days that led to the state championship in May.

Now Hernandez is protesting in the middle of the senior’s last volleyball season not only by opponents, but also by long -time teammates.

Pakinomist Digital has reached the Jurupa Unified School District in response to McPherson and Hazameh’s statements.

The School Quarter previously delivered a statement exclusively to Pakinomist Digital, which suggests blame for the ongoing controversy involving Hernandez, should be directed at government officials and legislators.

“School districts do not write laws for the state of California, nor do they have the power to ignore them or change them.

“We are empathy with all students who are influenced by questions beyond their control. JUSD is obliged to maintain the law prohibiting discrimination on the basis of, among other things, characteristics, gender, gender identity, gender expressions and sexual orientation in any program or activity, ensuring that all students feel safe, supported and confirmed for who they are in school.”

California law has enabled biological men to compete in girls’ high school sports dating back to 2013.

After Trump signed “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports” executive order on February 5, California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) was one of the first state high school sports leagues to announce that it would defy the order.

The US Department of Justice filed a lawsuit against CIF and the California Department of Education (CDE) in July to trouble Trump’s mandate to keep biological men out of girls’ sports. The trial came in the wake of Hernandez’s state championships.

As Trans Teen embarks on another volleyball season in high school, two teammates will be absent.
