Indiana Fever returned to the Victory School on Friday to keep their playoff hub alive – despite their depleted list.
Five players who started the 2025 season on the fever’s list have been lost to seasonal ending injuries. To make things worse, these damage backing appeared within a two-month window.
On Thursday, WNBA star Caitlin Clark announced she had been excluded for the rest of this season. Clark has been sidelined since July 15, when she suffered a groin injury in a game against Connecticut Sun.

“I spent hours in the gym every day with the unique goal of getting back out there, disappointed is not a big enough word to describe how I feel,” wrote the Point Guard at X.
Fever loses Caitlin Clark for the rest of 2025 season
Scholarship Guards Sydney Colson and Aari McDonald each went down with their own significant injuries during a matchup with Phoenix Mercury last month. Colson suffered a torn ACL while McDonald was diagnosed with a broken foot.
Cunningham encountered her own problems as she suffered a season-ending MCL injury on August 27.

Elsewhere, Indiana recently confirmed that Forward Chloe Bibby would not return to court this season.
Before the fever hosted the Chicago Himp on Friday, the five aforementioned players met at Center Court for a group photo. Two of the fever players leaned on crutches while McDonald was sitting on a scooter.

Just minutes after the position, Cunningham needed only three words to answer.
“A sick joke,” she wrote on X.
Indiana was inactive Saturday, but went into the day at the third place in the eastern conference. The fever returns to action on Sunday when facing the Washington mystics in Baltimore, Maryland.
