Islamabad: A district and sessions in Islamabad have expanded the physical custody of Hasan Zahid for three days to in Samiya Hijab resort and threats.
The suspect was produced before Duty Magistrate Azhar Nadeem after completing his first five-day physical custody.
During the procedure, the defense lawyer claimed that the court should first review the previous custody order and asked the police to explain what investigations had been conducted during the previous custody period.
The court was presented with the transaction history between Zahid and personality on social media Samiya as well as a video statement from the woman’s parents. The defense attorney also stated the court that the two were engaged and presented their engagement photographs.
The prosecutor, on the other hand, said that RS45,000 had been recovered from the suspect. He added that Zahid’s vehicle, weapons and accomplices should not yet be recovered, and requested an eight-day extension in physical custody to pursue these leads.
The defense claimed that Zahid had already secured bail in one case, but was deliberately arrested in another.
After hearing arguments, the court approved a three-day extension of Zahid’s physical custody instead of the eight days the prosecution applied.
The Islamabad-based influencer on social media had alleged earlier this week that Zahid-as she had been in a relationship-had harassed her for months with threats and demands to marry him.
In a video that was broadcast on Instagram, where she has a consequence of nearly 850,000, she claimed he appeared outside her residence, grabbed her phone and tried to force her into his car.
“My mother was sick, my brother wasn’t home. When I stepped outside, he caught my mobile, sat in his car and forced me in too,” said Samiya, who is also a popular face on Tiktok.
After the abduction attempt, the police registered a case and security staff have also been deployed outside her house for protection.
