Dwayne Johnson reveals first career choice and it didn’t act or wrestling

Dwayne Johnson relates to Smashing Machine -role as the dream did not come true

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has given everything to produce the legendary UFC -Hunting Fly Kerr’s battle in Smashing machine.

Dwayne has “waited” for such a challenging role throughout his acting career.

In the film, Kerr’s professional and personal matches are both represented, giving Jumanji Stars the perfect role in showing his spectacle.

“I’ve been waiting for this opportunity to challenge myself in ways that I hadn’t been challenged before, to really just tear myself up as an actor,” Johnson told Entertainment weekly.

“What I was able to connect with Mark is when you want something so bad and you want to do something to get it, but what you want so bad just doesn’t happen. It happened to me: I thought I would become a professional footballer, go to the NFL,” he shared.

Elsewhere, he reflected on how people have a hard time being empathy with someone with a big physical stature, such as Kerr.

“At one point he was the biggest, most dominant fighter in the time window on the planet,” said the black Adam star. “Very rarely for people to relate to it, but you can relate to a relationship that is full of love, it is painful, it is toxic, there is a codepend and then addiction and fails and is beaten and just trying.”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is with Emily Blunt as Kerr’s wife Dawn Staples in Smashing machinewhich hit theaters on October 3rd.
