Chicago Bears star Quarterback Caleb Williams’ painted nails have been a speech point since his college days, and he has often shared a message with them in focus.
That was the case before the Bears’ 2025 NFL season opener Monday night against the Minnesota Vikings when Williams shared a strong message during his first -name heating.
Williams’ nails were painted with the suicide prevention logo and colors to the right and threw hand. His second hand showed the numbers “988”, which is the suicide and crisis life line.

It is unknown why he chose the specific message, but given his history of motivating nail art, it is no surprise.

Although not the case in his rookie campaign, his painted nails – which once contained his No. 18 and messages like “Da Bears” – were always a fun sight before game.
Williams also used to write motivational phrases on his nails, including a very controversial message that read “F — Utah” during his time at the USC.
Williams’ 2024 matches-where head coach Matt Eberflus was fired midway through the season, and the team ended 5-12-Blev to him to give up the tradition of his rookie year.
“It was hard to do,” Williams revealed in an interview with ESPN. “We lost and days tried to find out for a long time how to get things back on track. I also think part of it was the rookie year. It got a little tiring at the end.”

Williams is back to his usual ways and shows his trademark confidentiality under the new head coach Ben Johnson, who has shaken new life in Bears’ violation. It includes being unapologetic about his choice – like painting his nails – which returned in 2025.
“Part of it’s just me to be myself and just [being] Unapologetically about it, “said Williams.” And you know I will not apologize. I will be me. It doesn’t bother me what people have to say about me because I know what I am. I know who I am and what I like to do. “
Williams definitely knows what to do on the football field when he started the 2025 season with an opening-driven touchdown race that had Bears fans at Soldier Field Rocking.
