Trump to participate in the Yankees game on September 9th anniversary with extra security

President Donald Trump announced earlier this month that he will participate in the New York Yankees game against Detroit Tigers on the 24th anniversary of the September 11th attack.

Trump has participated in several sporting events over the years, but has not participated in a baseball game in his second period.

In 2019, Trump participated in his first period as president, Game 5 in the World Series between Washington Nationals and Houston Astros in the country’s capital. He also participated in the World Series between Astros and Atlanta was broke in 2021, about a year after losing the 2020 election to former President Joe Biden.

Trump said in 2020 that he was ready to throw the first pitch of a Yankees game, but it never happened because of a “strong focus” on the pandemic.

Yankees called on fans for Thursday’s games to “budget extra time to entry due to improved security measures at all Yankee Stadium -inputs.” Gates usually open an hour and a half before the first pitch, but on Thursday Gates opens at. 4 p.m. one for 5 p.m. 19.05.

Fans were also encouraged to take public transport due to street closures and extra restrictions on what would be allowed inside the stadium.
