23 Terrorists killed in fresh anti-terror ops

Security forces over Pakistan conducted several terrorist operations this week, killing at least 23 terrorists in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan, while seven soldiers were martyrated in a terror attack in lower DIR, officials confirmed.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), 19 terrorists from the Indian sponsored Fitna Al Khawarij were killed in three separate engagements in KP between September 9 and 10. It said 14 were killed in Mohmand, four in North Waziristan and one in Bannu.

Elsewhere in KP, according to official sources, seven security staff were martyrated and 13 others sustained injuries on Thursday after terrorists launched an attack on security staff in the SAR Banda area of ​​the Lower Dir District.

As the security forces continued operation in the area, the lower DIR administration has introduced a ban on the use of drones, quadcopters and balloons. Separately, police said they rejected a terrorist attack on the Lajbok Police Post late at night. No injuries were reported in attack.

Meanwhile, the terrorist fighting department (CTD) in Balochistan killed four terrorists during an IBO in the Pishin district. According to CTD spokesman, IBO was launched after a tip-off about the presence of terrorists in the area.

“During the meeting, four terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire,” the spokesman said. Officials said the terrorists were planning attacks in the region, but the timely act of CTD felt their plans. Explosives and weapons were also regained from terrorists, they added.

President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have famous the successful terrorist operations from the security forces in KP. In their separate statements, they praised the courage and professionalism of Pakistan’s brave soldiers.
