“NFL REDZONE” host Scott Hanson said the United States needs “reasonable conversation” after the murder of Charlie Kirk.
Hanson, 54, enters his 17th season as host of “NFL Redzone” and has been very open about his faith throughout his career. Hanson told Pakinomist Digital in a recent conversation that being a Christian is “the basis of my life” and that one of the greatest things about the United States is its freedoms, including religious freedom and freedom of speech.
“I love our country and I think one of the greatest things about our country is the freedoms we enjoy. It was fought for and paid for by people we have often never met, and one of these greatest freedom is religious freedom, freedom of speech,” said Hanson.

Hanson said he is grateful that the United States is a place where people can express themselves.
“I am grateful that in a world that is very divisive, in a country that is absolutely divided, and of course we know the events of the last day that people are free to disagree about things and to show their faith, their belief in a framework where we can,” Hanson said.
“We may not agree on everything, but at least I respect your right to express yourself, to be able to say that to me, to be a Christian, it is the basis of my life that I mean, Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, and I am undamaged by it.”
“I don’t ever want to push anything on anyone else, but I’m also very firm in knowing what my identity is and who I find my identity in. And I will share it with people if they love to know it and I respect it fully. If someone is on the exact opposite side of it, or someone thinks it’s foolish to have believed. I hope we could have a reasonable conversation about it.
When asked how he holds prayer first in experimental times in the country, Hanson said he turns to God.

“Well, you asked, how do I hold prayer first in times like this? Where else could I go? To who could I go to make sense of some of the insanity we see in our community. Right now I go to the one I think created everything and have control over everything, whether it seems to be that of our human minds or not,” said Hanson.
“When I am won, I pray; when I am confused, I pray; when I am angry, I pray. And the one I follow tells me to love my enemies and pray for those who are on other sides of whatever ideology, religion, political times, no matter what it is. And we need it now more than ever, I believe, I am a understanding and love of our mate.
“Yes, I don’t want to be emotional about it because I saw hours on the cover yesterday, and I just thought I just thought, you know? Where? Where are we going? Where are we going from?
Hanson said that in these times he turns to God and asks for help.
“For me it is to start and end with prayer. I say, ‘Lord, you have control over all this. I am not. Be, be God in this situation and help me help us,'” said Hanson.
“Yes, I don’t mean to preach or anything. But this is really where I fall on it, you know. Where else could I go, so God?”

Hanson is the collaboration with Lowe’s for their “Earn your Sunday” campaign.
For millions of NFL fans, Sundays are about football, family and tradition. With “Earn your Sunday” Lowe’s calls them to bring the same dedication and preparation as they have for their teams in their homes. Hanson said Lowe’s has everything you need to get your home project done during the week so fans can enjoy their football Sundays.
“Lowe’s has come up with a fantastic campaign this year, called Earn your Sunday. And the concept is this, we have all the projects we need in the house, around the house, in the yard. Everyone has got them, right? Well, Lowe’s urges everyone to let it get done in the week, on Friday or Saturday, so you have earned your Sunday to sit down and rock and roll with Uncle Scott, or with your favorite Football,” said. “
“I think this campaign this year will really resonate with fans because none of us want to sit on the couch all day on Sunday and feel guilty. We want to know, ‘Ah, got the projects done.’ You go to Lowe’s, you get the things you need to get the projects done in your house.
Philadelphia Eagles, who runs back Saquon Barkley, Minnesota Vikings Broad receives Justin Jefferson, San Francisco 49ers, who runs back Christian McCaffrey, and Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Dak Prescott are all among NFL stars supporting Lowes campaign.
“It’s going to be a lot of fun this season,” Hanson said.
