Islamabad has further strengthened its ties with Kazakhstan and Turkey in recent weeks, according to the Foreign Office’s weekly orientation on Friday.
A delegation of 13 members from Kazakhstan called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari in addition to holding extensive conversations with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. The two sides underwent a whole spectrum of bilateral relationships, especially in the information and technology sector. The two countries also signed an action plan that delivers structured roadmap for cooperation in different areas.
The agreement was signed after dialogue between Dar and his Kazakh colleague Murat Nurtleu. Both leaders instructed their respective teams for quick tracking negotiations on agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (Mous), which is expected to be completed in time for Kazakhstan president’s upcoming visit.
Separately, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Minister of the National Defense Yasir Güler arrived at Islamabad for an official visit to Pakistan. The delagation urged Shehbaz and held meetings with Defense Minister Khwaja Asif and Field Marshal Chief of Army Staff (Coas) Asim Munir.
The two sides shared their commitment to each other and gave lectures in all areas of mutual interest, according to FO.
The weekly press Briefing began with the fo -spokesman Shafqat Ali Khan addressed Israel’s recent strike in Qatar’s Doha. The spokesman repeated Pakistan’s allegiance to protect Qatar’s Soverignity. He also emphasized Shehbaz’s recent visit to Qatar in solidarity against Israeli aggression as well as a permanent representative of Pakistan to the United Nations Ambassador Asim Iftikar Ahmad’s speech to the United Nations Security Council, in which Ahmad called Israel’s systemic explanation for international law.
Khan also approached the ongoing situation in Nepal and expressed deep grief for the loss of life during protests. “We trust that the resilience of the Nepal people will help shape a future that is characterized by harmony and renewed hope,” he said, offering compassion to deprived families and wounded.
Fo repeated further Islamabad’s dedication to the Kashmiri people and their right to self -determination and condemned India’s ongoing aggression in Kashmir. The spokesman regretted the denial of bail to Kashmiri leader Shabir Ahmed Shah.
In addition, he condemned the decision made in Indian illegally, Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ & K) occupied the acquisition of 215 private schools.
