Pakistan reprimands Israel over bin Laden -anogy

Islamabad:

Pakistan has questioned Israel’s obligation to peace in the Middle East when the UN Security Council condemned the recent strikes of the Jewish state of Qatar’s capital Doha, with Islamabad, which made it clear that it was fully able to defend itself against any external threat.

Pakistan also hit back after the Zionist state defended its Doha strikes and rejected the sharp condemnation on Thursday by most members of the UN Security Council for its aggression against Qatar, claiming that the American act against Osama bin Laden had not criticized.

This set a heated exchange between the two opponents. Pakistan does not recognize Israel and is at the forefront of advancing for a free Palestinian state at International forums.

The exchange took place during the Security Council’s debate on the situation in the Middle East, convened by Pakistan, Algeria and Somalia, during the South Korean Presidency.

“It is actually ridiculous, for an aggressor, an occupied, a serial violation of the UN charter and international law – that is, Israel – to abuse this chamber and respect for the holiness of this council,” said Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, the permanent representative of Pakistan for the UN, said in his right to answer.

“By pointing fingers at others, baseless claims, primarily aimed at masking his own illegal acts and violations of international law,” he told the 15-member advice.

Pakistan also questioned whether the release of hostages that Hamas had was a priority for Israel. “It is clear that Israel, the occupying power, is bent by doing everything to undermine and blow up any opportunity for peace,” Ambassador Ahmad told Council.

In his defense of its “illegal and unprovoked” Qatar attack, Israeli Ambassador Danny Dannon defied and said there was no shrine for terrorists, not in Gaza, not in Tehran, not in Doha.

“There is no immunity for terrorists. The story will not be kind to accomplice. Either Qatar condemns Hamas, Hamas exhibits and brings Hamas to justice, or Israel will,” he warned.

In a hard pipe, ambassador Ahmad said, “That [Israel] is a resident who does not listen to anyone; It is not aware of any advice, even from its friends if there is anyone left; It is rejecting and not only rejecting, it threatens members of the international community, international media, international human rights and humanitarian organizations, does not listen to ICJ or ICC and threaten the UN and its high -ranking officials; And it does so with impunity.

“Shuttered by its apologists who repeatedly release themselves in his illegal acts and faiths over the international community. And like all occupies, despite being the aggressor, celebrating it and playing the victim, but today it is completely exposed.”

About the non -related bin Laden event and Israeli envoy’s misleading comments regarding Pakistan, Ambassador Ahmad said he did so in an attempt to justify his own illegal acts and violations of international law.

In fact, he rejected the false analogy. “Pakistan’s attitude towards this incident is clearly mentioned and is publicly accessible,” said Pakistani envoy, adding, “the international community is well aware of Pakistan’s front -line role and victims in the international community’s fight against terrorism.

“The whole world, including our partners, acknowledges that Al Qaeda was largely decimated due to Pakistan’s fight against terrorism. And we remained engaged in this global, collective endeavor.

“It is actually the perpetrator of the worst form of state terrorism that we are witnessing in Gaza, and in fact in the occupied Palestinian territories for decades,” the Pakistani envoy said.

“Whatever way it interprets these statements in this advice, the occupying power must go back and carefully read the statement from the Security Council today.”

In Islamabad, the Foreign Office on Friday said Pakistan followed close to developments in the Middle East and made it clear that it was fully able to defend itself against any external threat.

On his weekly news briefing, spokesman for the Foreign Office Shafqat Ali Khan was asked if Pakistan was concerned about the way Israel expanded his military maneuvers, such as launching strikes on Qatar.

Without explicitly mentioning Israel, he replied, “What is happening right now in the Middle East, which is our immediate neighborhood, we follow it very closely. But let me be completely clear, Pakistan is fully able to defend himself against any external threat.”

“Pakistan remains a responsible nuclear state and a spokesman for regional peace and stability. However, any misunderstanding or threat to Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity will be met with a resolute reaction,” he warned.

Ambassador Khan condemned what he called “insinuations from an irresponsible junk state” accused Israel of committing “the worst form of state terrorism” in Gaza and across the occupied Palestinian territories for decades. He also emphasized that Pakistan rejects any “false analogy” that repeats the attitude that Qatar has taken in the council.

He urged the Israeli delegation to carefully read the Security Council’s latest statement, which he described as “unanimously adopted,” though he added that it “should have been stronger.”

The spokesman said that statements issued by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar were very clear that repeated Israeli attacks against sovereign states in the region were a matter of serious concern, not only for Muslim Ummah, but also to the broader international community.

“These provocations represent a dangerous pattern that threatens regional peace and security. The issue has been actively addressed within OIC if Member States have strongly condemned the aggression and expressed full solidarity with the countries affected, most recently Qatar.”

The spokesman said an extraordinary Arabic-Islamic summit had also been called in Doha on September 15 to consider a common reaction.
