President Zardari confirms Pakistan’s support for China’s vision of cultural exchange

President Asif Ali Zardari has confirmed Pakistan’s obligation to work with China and other nations to elaborate on cultural exchanges, strengthen creative industries and promote understanding and tolerance.

Zardari arrived at Chengdu on Friday to start a 10-day visit to China on invitation from the Chinese government. On the first day, he participated in the second Golden Panda Awards and held conversations with senior members in the Communist Party in China (CPC).

The president said the culture was a “vital bridge to peace, prosperity and a common future of humanity.

He expressed Pakistan’s full support for China’s vision of “Civilization Exchange and Mutual Learning” and highlighted the importance of the Global Development Initiative (GDI), Global Security Initiative (GSI) and Global Governance Initiative (GGI) that emphasized their focus on sustainable development, regional stability and inclusive international cooperation.

Zardari noted that the world underwent dramatic changes and praised President Xi Jinping for offering “a path to cooperation and win-win solutions instead of confrontation.” He congratulated the award winners and described their creativity as an artistic endeavor that “transcends boundaries and unites people through common human values.”

He also thanked the government of Sichuan Province, China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the organizers of the forum for their hospitality.

During a meeting with Li Shulei, a member of the political agency and secretariat for the CPC Central Committee and the Minister of the Audience Department, Zardari Pakistan’s obligation to expand human-to-people contacts and public diplomacy emphasized.

Li said that both he and President Xi were highly valued Zardari’s role in strengthening the Pakistan-China partnership and called the two countries “iron-clad brothers.” He added: “The world needs and deserves the scent of books rather than the smell of Kruttt.”

As Pakistan and China are preparing to celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties next year, Li said the partnership stood as a testimony to the enduring bonds between their people.

In addition to Chengdu, Zardari will visit Shanghai and Xinjiang during his stay from 12 to 21 September, where he meets provincial leaders. According to the president’s office, the visit will include discussions on financial and trade cooperation, progress with CPEC, multilateral commitment and confirm mutual support for core interest in the underlined joint commitment to regional peace, development and stability.

In August, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif China visited China to attend the SCO Council of Heads of State (CHS) Summit, which was held from August 31 to September 1.

During the visit, Pakistan and China signed multiple Memorandums for Understanding (Mous) and Joint Ventures worth $ 8.5 billion to elaborate on business-to-business collaboration in agriculture, industry, health, trade, mining, mining and minerals.

Shehbaz, who treated the signing ceremony in Beijing, described the agreements as the “long march of economic development” between the two nations. “This long march begins from Beijing and ends in Islamabad,” he said.

The premiere emphasized that the initiative aims to transform Pakistan into a thriving economy by attracting billions in investment, creating millions of jobs and strengthening the country’s financial foundation. “We are decided to work tirelessly until this long march of economic development reaches its destination,” he said.

Shehbaz also expressed gratitude to Chinese leadership and people for their support for Pakistan’s territorial integrity, sovereignty and socio -economic development. He congratulated China of hosting the SCO summit in Tianjin and expanding crimes on the 80th anniversary of the victory in the opposition’s war and the anti-fascist war of the world.

The prime minister also met Chinese President Xi Jinping in the large hall of the people of Beijing, at a meeting that is considered important based on the ongoing geostrategic development. Pakistan’s ties with the United States have been changed in recent months, while Washington’s relationship with New Delhi has worsened.

During the negotiations, both sides confirmed their “Ironclad Partnership” and promised to elaborate on the cooperation. Shehbaz added that no one could shake the strong bond between Pakistan and China.
