- Apple CEO Tim Cook promises ‘Fantastic’ iPhone Air Battery Lifetime
- The phone is the thinnest iPhone ever launched
- Officially, battery life goes to the phone up to 27 hours
Earlier this week, the Apple iPhone Air revealed with three other new iPhones: It is the slimmest iPhone to date that measures only 5.64mm and Apple CEO Tim Cook has addressed what that thinness can mean for the life of the battery.
“The life of the battery is great,” Cook told CNBC’s Jim Cramer in a new interview. “You will love the life of the battery.” The phone is designed “from the inside out” to get as much time as possible between fees, according to Apple Boss.
Cook then continued to further explain how the phone is designed to maximize battery capacity and mention how the phone was only eSIM – with the space stored by removing the physical SIM card game used to make the battery even bigger.
“It’s as if you’re holding the future in your hand,” excited Cook at an earlier stage in the news segment, maybe an indication that we will see more air models in the future-mayor along with an all-glass, curved iPhone.

Apple has definitely taken a fresh approach to iPhone design with iPhone Air, and most of the key components have been located at the top of the house. It leaves the rest of the internal space available for a battery.
According to Apple’s official figures, you can get up to 27 hours of video playback between battery charges on iPhone Air. It is compared to 30 hours for standard iPhone 17, 33 hours for iPhone Pro and 39 hours for iPhone Pro Max.
It is also noteworthy that Apple has also chosen to launch a Magsafe-compatible battery pack charger specifically for iPhone-Air-Weld suggests that you do not necessarily get a whole lot of use from the smartphone from a single battery charge.
We have not been able to test the iPhone Air Battery life for ourselves yet, though we have had a little practical time with the new handset. As the device runs out to users from next Friday, we know more about its battery life.
