The Supreme Court (SC) on Saturday defended the lifetime security that was delivered to its retired judges. SC mentioned that the event is legal and is supported by the president’s order considering their sensitive past duties and security risks.
A spokesman for the Court said that the newly issued circular is aimed at implementing established security protocols, scoring strength development beyond what the law allows, and ensuring better coordination between the point of view, the Ministry of the Interior and the provincial governments.
“This is not about extraordinary advantage or extra privileges,” the spokesman said. “It’s about adapting security with legal rights and preventing unnecessary overuse of state resources.”
