Karachi: Pakinomist Television, in collaboration with 7. Sky Entertainment, is set to present a thought -provoking new dramaserial, case # 9, directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain and written by the famous journalist and Pakinomist News Anchor Shahzeb Khanzada.
The drama tells the powerful story of “Sehar”, a fearless young woman who becomes a symbol of resilience and despite the social barriers.
Playing the central role is recognized film and TV actress Saba Qamar, who portrays Sehar as a confident, resolute and talented woman.
Unlike her, actor Faysal Quraishi stars celebrated as “Kamran”, a wealthy and arrogant businessman trying to overman Sehar with his influence and ego.
The story takes place around Sehar’s courage, struggle and sad – raises the critical question: Will Sehar become a victim of Kamran’s schemes, or does she want to victorious through her strength and stamina?
Produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi, the high -profile project can boast Jilani, Faiza Gillani, Azra Mohyeddin, among others.
The central theme of Case No. 9 is about a woman’s struggle for justice in a society where sexual violence, litigation, legal battles, social pressure, propaganda and influence of media and power all come into play.
The drama highlights how defeat in such cases often stems from a lack of evidence, but from a lack of courage.
“Because of fear of” what will people say, “thousands of women remain silent, enabling crime to flourish and justice can be denied,” the manuscript emphasizes.
When he talked about the project, Faysal Quraishi said: “This drama is the need of the hour. I would be part of something that would make history and leave a lasting impact. We worked very hard on this and I think this is a landmark project.”
Meanwhile, Saba Qamar shared: “I never say yes to a project without reading the screenplay. This is Shahzeb Khanzada’s first drama, but still when I read the manuscript # 9, it felt like it had been written by an experienced playwright.” Case # 9 will soon premiere on Pakinomist TV, which brings a bold and socially significant narrative that challenges conventions and speaks directly to today’s realities.
