Writing Sanders allegedly made an effort to avoid being chosen by Baltimore Ravens in the 2025 NFL draft.
Ravens had plans to take the former Colorado Buffaloes Standout Quarterback with the 141. Election of the draft, ESPN reported Sunday. However, Sanders allegedly made it that he did not want to be stuck behind the two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson on the depth card.

Sanders was looking to be selected by a team where he would have a chance to play. The ravens ended up taking the offensive Lineman Carson Vinson and Sanders went to Cleveland Browns a few elections later.
He would have been in a match with Cooper Rush and Devin Leary about the backup job. Rush joined Ravens from Dallas Cowboys during the high season. Leary was signed for a future contract in January but did not make the last list.

Sanders priested well enough for Browns to hold him. They traded Kenny Pickett to Las Vegas Raiders and waived Tyler Huntley.
Sanders is No. 3 on Browns’ depth cards that enter the second week of the 2025 season. He is behind Joe Flacco and colleague -rookie -teammate Dillon Gabriel.
