Robot vacuum is becoming increasingly advanced and impressive. But a lot of models offer different combinations of the same features that can distinguish between them difficult. So it is always refreshing to see a robot wacuum with a really unique feature.
Go into the Eufy Omni S2 with its scent capsule space. A robot that cleans my house and lets it smell like a spa? Dreaming.
Of all the many robot wacuum I saw on IFA 2025, this is the one I want to try the most. And considering that I had demos of robot vacuum that can climb up the stairs and one that can pick up a duster and clean your baseboards, it says something.
I have tested most of the best robot wacuum on the market and it is the only one I am aware of that can have a scent capsule attached. There are three fragrance options, including eucalyptus and lemongrass. I had a sniff of each capsule and I liked them all – they were fresh and comfortable without being too synthetic or overpowered. However, I did not get a chance to see (or smell) them placed in S2 and on a cleaning journey, so I can’t talk to their effectiveness in practice.
The idea reminds me of Shark’s anti-Edor capsule — a puck sitting in the floor head or on the auto-empty docks of some shark vacuum. Officially, this is designed to neutralize potential bad smells instead of creating its own scent. However, the reviewers who have tested capsule -equipped vacuums to Techradar have almost all been huge fans, and commented that the puck left their floors that smell fresh.
At EUFY’s bot, the scent is the point and I’m for one here for the more luxurious approach.
Additional features
Of course, EUFY OMNI S2 is more than just a mobile scent dispenser – there is plenty to recommend it as a cleaner. Bot packs an ultra-powerful 30,000 pa suction (it is apparently capable of sucking dirt from shag rugs with a pile height up to 5 cm) and uses two rolls with a hole in the middle to prevent hair surfaces.
On the Mopping Front, the S2 can boast an extra wide roll of mop, scrubbing with 15n down pressure and cleans itself as it goes. Mysteriously, it also uses electrolyzed water in its cleaning dock – I am told that this helps to kill three common bacteria, but EUFY has not delivered anything more specific than that.
EUFY OMNI S2 is scheduled for sale at the end of October in Europe and in January 2026 (after a launch at CES) in the United States. I only have prices in euro: € 1,599, which would be about $ 1,875 / £ 1,380 / AU $ 2,800.
