Cincinnati Bengals’ fear seemed to be confirmed Monday.

Joe Burrow will undergo an operation on his left foot to repair a peat toe damage he suffered from the team’s victory over Jacksonville Jaguars and is likely to be out of at least three months, ESPN reported.

Burrow was in the dressing room after the game on crutches. The team allegedly sought another statement about the damage on Sunday night.

Quarterback was fired by Jaguar’s defense tackle Arik Armstead for a 5-yard loss on Bengal’s 35-yard line with 9:02 back in the first half. He went to the sidelines and into the medical tent after the piece. He came out short with a slack and went to the dressing room.

“It’s tough right now. We’re going to be in order. He’s a strong guy,” said Bengal’s wide receiver Tee Higgins Sunday afternoon. “We look forward to seeing what the results are.”

Jake Browning entered the game for Burrow and helped Cincinnati to their first 2-0 start since the 2018 season. Browning was 21-of-32 with 241 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions.

It’s been the third time since Burrow entered the league that he will miss significant time with an injury. He was limited to 10 matches in 2020 and 2023 because of that. He will probably play around the same number of games this season when it’s all said and done.

Last year, Burrow NFL with 4,918 led passing yards and 43 touchdown passes. He ended up in fourth place in the NFL MVP vote.
