Cryptocurrency lending platform Maple Finance has inserted Syrupusdt on plasma, a paying-focused blockchain supported by Tether, in its first major movement to expand the product beyond Ethereum.
From tomorrow, users will be able to deposit the token in a Midas host vault that yields yield while distributing rewards tied to Plasma’s upcoming Mainnet launch and token generation. Future integrations with decentralized financing protocols on plasma are planned when the network builds out.
“This launch emphasizes our excitement over plasma and its significance as a payment ecosystem,” Maple CEO Sid Powell said in a statement. He added that distribution of dividend -bearing dollar products across chains is central to Maple’s push to grow liquidity and hit $ 5 billion in assets under management at the end of 2025.
Plasma is designed to quickly treat transactions while focusing on USDT as basic assets. For Maple, the chain’s infrastructure could provide a natural fit for products such as syrupus, which package of stablecoins for vaults generates returns.
Launch continues a year of rapid growth for Maple, which has already been expanded to Solana and Arbitum. Its syrupusdc recently crossed $ 1 billion in supply and emphasized the demand for tokenized yield products across blockchain ecosystems.
