Pakistan, Palestine to increase medical cooperation

Pakistan and Palestine have taken a significant step to expand the bilateral relations in the healthcare sector by signing an agreement morandum (Mou) in Islamabad.

The agreement was signed by the federal Minister of Health, Syed Mustafa Kamal, on behalf of Pakistan, while the Palestinian ambassador represented his government at the ceremony.

Senior officials, including federal health secretary Hamid Yaqoob, additional secretary health and the Director General, also participated in the event. Their presence highlighted the importance of both sides to the new partnership.

According to the Ministry of National Health Services, Mou is designed to improve collaboration in advanced medical areas, professional education and joint research. The relocation is expected to create long -term ways to strengthen health care systems in both countries.

Federal minister Mustafa Kamal announced that a Pakistan -Palestine Health Working Group will be set up within the next 30 days. This body will oversee the implementation of MOU and ensure that agreed initiatives are performed effectively.

He explained that collaboration will cover a wide range of medical specialties. These include intervention cardiology, organ transplantation, orthopedic surgery, endoscopic ultrasound, combustion therapy and plastic surgery.
