Eli Manning and Jaxson Dart have a lot in common.
New York Giants traded to get both quarterbacks, each of which attended Ole Miss. And Dart, like Manning, has begun his career sitting behind a long -time veteran.
Shortly after Giants chose Dart with the 25th election after trade back to the first round, the big blue legend extended to dart and told Rookie that he had an open line to staff to reach out “about something.”

“I said to Jaxson, ‘If you have any questions about something I am here for you,” Manning told Peter Schrager. “Football -related, or when you decide which city you want to live in. This or that.” “
But Dart reached out to Manning about something that was completely unexpected: a five -star restaurant reservation.
“Suddenly it’s training camp. He calls me one day and is like,” you have a minute? “I say, ‘Yes, of course.’ … he goes, ‘Can you get me a reservation of 4 Charles tonight at.
“I was like, ‘No, no, no. It’s not part of the deal. When I said I’m happy to help, I don’t. I’m not your reservation guy. You have to earn the right to call and make the reservation.”

Dart is currently the second-string behind Russell Wilson, but he was used in a couple of run-pass options last week against Dalla’s cowboys.
It is unknown when exactly darts take over full time, but for reference, Manning Kurt Warner replaced the middle of a 5-4 playoff hunt in 2004. Manning lost each of his first six starts before ending the season with a win.
