- GoPro Max 2 gets an official launch date
- It arrives along with another camera on September 23
- We’ve seen lots of leaks for the new model
It’s been a long wait for GoPro Max 2 because the original GoPro Max 360-degree camera launched all the way back in 2019. Now we know the device will be launched on Tuesday, September 23 with another new GoPro camera.
Go to the official GoPro social media channels to see the message of a launch date and a teaser of what’s coming. One of the cameras we can see in the teaser matches with official images of GoPro Max 2 that have already been released.
It’s not so clear what the other camera in the teaser image is. According to New camera (via notebookcheck), it’s GoPro Lit Hero, a budget 4K action camera – so it’s not as it might have been expected, GoPro Hero 14 Black.
It seems that the new model is a successor to the GoPro hero launched in September last year, with the addition of some bright LED lights on the front of the device. You can see that these are shown in the teaser clip that GoPro has sent.
