After a week long suspension that triggered reaction from fans and Hollywood stars, the show is set to return ABC On Tuesday according to NBC News.
The late evening-show host was suddenly pulled from the show after his remarks about the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk triggered indignation.
Disney, who owns ABCReleased has a statement to tackle the situation.
The statement read, “Last Wednesday we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further serving a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country.”
“It’s a decision we made because we felt that some of the comments were poorly tackled and thus insensitive,” it said.
Walt Disney Co. continued to add that after “thoughtful” conversations with Jimmy Kimmel they have decided to continue the show.
“We have spent the last days of thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after these conversations we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday,” the statement concluded.
