During the conversation on the show in the evening, the 65-year-old actor spilled he and Bob Dylan, and shared they were ringmates and used to spar together- “more than once.”

“Bob Dylan, turns out, is a student in boxing and I had a 16-foot punching in my house and I was kind to his son,” Penn told Fallon about his Spar with the rock icon.

“And at one point Jesse, his son, told me, ‘You know my dad wants to spar.’ “

Penn also shared that Dylan then began to get over regularly.

“Sorry Bob if I speak out of school,” he apologized for Dylan if he was angry about his personal life, noting that he would show up every morning for about a month.

“It went for about a month, I think. About seven or eight in the morning, with his hoodie on and about six bull mastiffer coming out of a VW van. There wasn’t much conversation, it was a bit like ‘good? Good? Good’. And we would spar,” Penn added.
