Spider-Man: Brand new day Apparently is set to contain a fan-favorite villain and fans have already labeled it as “perfect casting”.
Per. Deadline, Marvin Jones III (Black lightning) Has been thrown as Alonzo Thompson ‘Lonnie’ Lincoln, alias The Crime Boss more famous as Tombstone.

Jones III’s apparent hiring has also gone incredibly well with MCU fans. In the hours since the news broke last night (September 23), people have taken to social media, Reddit and other forums to praise the film’s latest role crew.
This is not the first time Jones III has played Tombstone in a Spider-Man project. He also expressed the character in the 2018s S.Pider-Man: Into the Spider-VersThe first post in Sony’s animated film trilogy playing another web sounds in Miles Morales. As per Deadline, Jones III will re -establish his role as Tombstone in 2027’s Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-VersAt IE Film Series’ Third and Last Rate.
Oddly enough, Jones III was also reportedly due to playing Lincoln in El Muerto. One of many villains and anti-hero-led spider-man-spin-off movies canceled after the plug was pulled on the Sony Spider-Man universe by the end of 2024, off-shoot-flick would have marked Tombstone’s live-action debut, although in a movie that the iconic wall crawler would not have been part of.

In May, a new Marvel leak indicated Brand new day Could contain three villains. Two months later the identity of two of these villains was apparently confirmed in one behind the scenes look at Spider-Man 4.
It is possible that the Marvel phase 6 movie will contain more than one trio of antagonists, remember you. Prior to main photography that started in late August, rumors came that another villain – Mac Gargan/Scorpion, portrayed by Michael Mando in 2016’s Spider-Man: Homecoming – is also part of the procedure.
More outdoor recording is expected to take place in Basingstoke, UK, in early October and will reportedly be centered around a jailbreak scene. It is so possible that we will soon get our first look at Tombstone, Scorpion and/or other villains. Whether these action scenes will contain the lead star Tom Holland after the head injury he recently suffered from filming on an indoor set is still unclear.
