Islamabad:
The highest legal council (SJC) is expected to convene a meeting to review complaints filed against judges for the overall judiciary, sources say.
The meeting is probably held in mid -October under the presidency of Chief Justice Yahya Afridi. Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar has been introduced as a member of SJC.
SJC is a legal body for the overall judiciary authorized under Article 209 of the Constitution to hear cases of mismatch against judges.
In a recent observation, the Apex Court found that only SJC can investigate allegations of wrongdoing against judges.
