Seattle Seahawks held their NFC West-Rival, Arizona Cardinals, in a 23-20 win on the road Thursday night.
Seahawks improved to 3-1 to start the early season while the Cardinals fell to 2-2.
Not much came from Cardinals’ violation in this game, but the fourth quarter made the game very interesting when Kyler Murray finally got some momentum going.

Marvin Harrison Jr., who had a rough game at the time, became trusted by Murray on a passport to the final zone, and he pulled it in over the Seahawk Cornerback Devon Washerpoon to make it a score game after the extra point.
Sam Darnold and Seahawks, who own a 20-13 lead, knew they could seal victory with a long drive, kill watch and make it a two-score game. It looked like it was coming when Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught a 36-yard pass on third-and-6 to get into the Cardinal Terinaries.
But three pieces later, Jason Myers tried a 53-yard field goals, and he missed out on the right to keep Cardinals’ hope alive. And Murray delivered the drive his team needed to tie it up.

The Cardinals went 12 pieces and 57 yards in just under three minutes as running back Emari Demercado was widely open on the second and goal, and he ran into the final zone to tie after the extra point with 28 seconds left to play in regulation.
There was a narrow chance that Darnold could get Myers back in his field target area to try a game winner, but that changed when Chad Ryland’s kickoff attempt couldn’t enter the designated landing zone between the target line and 20-yard line. The ball jumped just before the 20-yard line and gave Seattle the ball on their own 40-yard line.
Darnold got the ball on Arizona’s side thanks to a perfect passport for Smith-Njigba for a 22-yard win. After a Zach Charbonnet-Fire-Yard race, Myers had another chance from almost the same distance as he got up on 52-yards.

This time it was true when the Seahawks celebrated their victory in a large division match.
As noted, this game was not an offensive thriller as both defense played their opponents well. However, Darnold was able to orchestrate two touchdown drives and find a tight end AJ Barner from 16 meters out of the team’s first points on the scoreboard, while Charbonnet ran one onto the finish line in the second quarter to enter the dressing room with a 14-3 lead.
Both teams would find a field goal in the third quarter before the fourth made this game a thriller.
Looking at the Statarket, Darnold was 18-of-26 in 242 yards with his touchdown pass and no interception, with Smith-Njigba leading with 79 yards on only four catches. Kenneth Walker III may not have found the end zone, but he led the dangerous attack with 81 yards at 19, compared to Charbonnet’s 39 yards on 12 touches in the back field.

As for the Cardinals, Murray was 27-of-41 with two touchdown passes and two intercepts thrown, including one who fortunately went back to Arizona after Cobe Bryant ran into his own Seahawks teammate and fumbled while returning. Harrison was the leading recipient with 66 yards on six catches.
Trey Benson, who will fill for James Conner for the rest of the season after his annual foot injury last week, had 35 yards in only eight carrier in his first game as the team’s primary race. He also had five catches from Murray in 19 yards.
