Dell has revealed work -focused earplugs designed for video conferencing calls, but with a price to almost match AirPods Pro 3, are Dell Pro Plus earplugs worth the cash?
An overview suggests that the two models could be on par with Dell Pro Plus offering Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), transparency mode and adaptive sound, as well as touch checks, a charging case and four separate ear tip sizes.
Apart from Bluetooth 5.3 with multi-host connection to up to eight devices, there is also a compact USB-C wire-free audio recipient that hides in the case to support additional device types.

Unique for the Dell model is that cloud-based management via Dell Device Management Console allows administrators to configure devices, update firmware and have a general oversight of fleets, making them very targeted at business users.
More important is that they are perfect for hybrid workers because they are the first earplugs with Microsoft Teams Open Office certification as well as zoom certification, with voice insulation states to refine sound in noisy environments that shared office space or headset to work from home.
The life of the battery stands at up to eight hours of audio playback with the ANC enabled, or 33 hours including the charging case – which is reduced to 5/16.5 hours for calls.
Dell boasted that its AI-driven noise-canceling has been trained on over 500 million noise samples, and it also has a personal audio profile setting within the Dell Audio mobile app.
So while Dell Pro Plus ear plugs may not be here to remove consumer customers from Apple, it is definitely heading in the right direction at work, with company certifications for video conference platforms, cloud management options and multidevice connection.
